What is Crystal Meth:

What Is Crystal Meth?

Crystal meth, or methamphetamine, is a stimulant that is extremely addictive when taken. This drug affects your body, especially your brain. Crystal meth can be made at home, which is where a lot of this drug is created. Because of this, the drug has become so widespread.

Crystal meth is also known as “meth”, “speed”, “crystal”, “ice” or glass. It is made of crystalline powder that melts when mixed with liquids such as water or alcohol. Its parent drug is amphetamine. Amphetamine is known for use in products used for chronic sinus and bronchial problems.

Methamphetamine is similar to its parent drug, but is more focused in the brain area. When taken, crystal meth can cause people to act strangely. They also have a lot of energy and don’t get much sleep. They also lack an appetite to eat anything for long periods of time. The drug can affect their system for a while, from several hours to all day long.

Crystal meth can cause users to abuse it. The actual methamphetamine is only available when prescribed by a physician for medical use. It is usually prescribed for things like attention deficit disorder.

There are several different ways that Crystal meth can be ingested in your system. It can be snorted, smoked, injected with a needle or taken orally. It also causes different mood swings in those that take it. It’s not known one minute from the next how they’re going to react. You can be jovial one minute and angry the next minute. The drug stimulates the brain to react like that.

Depending on how you take the drug, you can experience a rush or a high, which lasts longer. If you smoke or inject crystal meth into your system, you can experience a rush. A rush only lasts for a few minutes. If you snort or take it orally, you can experience a high. When you snort crystal meth, it takes about five minutes for you to feel the effect. If you take crystal meth orally, it takes about twenty minutes before you notice anything.

Crystal meth users like to binge. The effects from the drug usually don’t last long and the pleasure from it becomes non-existent. Because of this, the more binging they do, the more they can maintain a high from the drug.

If people continue to take crystal meth on an ongoing basis, they can suffer serious health setbacks. You could experience an accelerated heart rate, high blood pressure or the

possibility of a stroke from blood vessel damage. You can also have a collapsed vein, tuberculosis, or diseases of the kidney and/or liver. Taking this drug for a long period of time can also prove to be fatal.

Even though local, county and federal law enforcement agencies are constantly working to keep this dangerous drug off the streets, more people are finding ways to get crystal meth and abuse it. If you’re not looking to be a statistic, the best thing to do is to not use it. Better yet, stay away from people that do use it.
